How to Change your HP 5524 Ink Cartridges Refill

  1. Make sure the HP Photosmart 5524 printer is turned on by pressing the Power Button if necessary.
  2. Open your HP 5524 printer’s top cover.
  3. Please wait for the carriage to move into the printer’s right side and be quiet and idle.
  4. Press the old ink cartridge down, then remove it from the carriage.
  5. Get the new HP 5524 Ink cartridge and unpack it by removing its protective tape. In replacing the black ink cartridge, get the ink cartridge from the right slot. In replacing the color ink cartridge, take the ink cartridge from the left slot.
  6. Hold the new ink cartridge that the bottom of its copper strips is facing the printer.
  7. Insert the ink cartridge at a slightly upward angle in the carriage until it snaps into position.
  8. Close the HP 5524 printer top cover. The ink cartridge must be aligned to get the best printing quality.
