How to Change your Canon PIXMA MX890 Ink Cartridges Refill

  1. Turn the Canon MX890 Series printer on, then gently open the Paper Output Tray.
  2. Open the Scanning Unit to pen – the print head holder will transfer to the replacement position; wait for it to stop.
  3. Press the empty cartridge’s tab and pull it out the printer.
  4. Get the new Canon MX890 Ink Cartridge and remove it from the package.
  5. Get rid of the new cartridge’s orange tape and protective tap.
  6. Put the new cartridge into the available slot and push it until it clicks into place.
  7. Close the machine’s scanning unit cover to complete the installation.
