How to Change your Canon PIXMA MX892 Ink Cartridges Refill

  1. 1. Make sure the Canon MX892 printer's power is turned on.
  2. Gently open the scanning unit cover by lifting it with the unit support. Let the print head holder shift to the replacement position.
  3. Remove the cartridge with the lamp flashing by pushing the tab and lifting the device. Don't contact the printer head lock lever.
  4. Prepare the new Canon MX892 Ink Cartridge by unpacking it, and removing the orange tape completely. Remove also the device's protective film.
  5. Hold the cartridge with the orange protective cap pointing upwards while avoiding touching the air hole and carefully twist it 90 degrees horizontally to snap it off.
  6. Insert and push the new cartridge into the matching slot.
  7. Close the printer’s scanning unit cover.
