How to Change your Canon PIXMA iX6520 Ink Cartridges Refill

  1. Make sure the Canon iX6520 printer is turned on by pressing the Power button.
  2. Open the Paper Output Tray by pressing its release button and the machine’s cover by lifting it. The cartridge holder will then move into the replacement position so wait till it becomes idle before you proceed.
  3. Push the ink cartridge down until it clicks, then pull it out of the slot.
  4. Take the new Canon iX6520 ink cartridge from its package and get rid of the protective tape and twist off the protective cap.
  5. Insert the new cartridge into the vacant slot at a slanting position then gently push until it clicks into position.
  6. Check to ensure the cartridges are installed and lined up properly.
  7. Close the machine’s cover to complete the installation.
