How to Change your Brother MFC J870DW Ink Cartridges Refill

  1. Switch on your Brother MFC J870DW printer by pressing the Power Button.
  2. Find the ink cartridge cover on the right side of the printer and pull it down to open. Check the empty cartridges, as indicated on the LCD screen.
  3. Push the empty cartridge’s lever down then take the old cartridge out while holding it at the sides. Repeat the steps for the other cartridges you replace.
  4. Get the new Brother MFC J870DW Ink Cartridge and open its package. Avoid touching the nozzles to prevent getting ink on your hands.
  5. Turn the green release lever of the orange protective pack until it clicks to release the vacuum seal.
  6. Insert the new ink cartridge towards the label’s arrow – every color has a corresponding position, then press the cartridge towards the slot until it clicks into position before closing the ink cartridge cover.
  7. Verify that you’ve installed the right ink cartridge color by checking the machine's display.
