How to Change your Brother MFC J5720DW Ink Cartridge Refill

  1. Turn on your Brother MFC-J5720DW printer by pressing the Power Button, then open the machines cartridge cover situated on the right side.
  2. Push the empty cartridge’s lever down to free it, then remove the empty cartridge by pulling it with your hands. Repeat this procedure for the other empty cartridges you may have.
  3. Take your new Brother MFC J5720DW Ink cartridge and then unpack it. Don’t touch the nozzles or contacts to avoid ink from staining your hands.
  4. Get rid of the cartridge’s orange protective pack. To do this, turn the green release lever counterclockwise to release the vacuum seal.
  5. Slowly insert the cartridge into the slot’s alignment – use the label’s arrow as a guide, then gently push the device into the slot until it locks into position.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the other Brother ink cartridges then lift the cartridge cover to close.
  7. Check the printer’s LCD screen to make sure the cartridges are properly installed.
