How to Change your HP Deskjet 1510 Ink Cartridges

1. Begin by pressing the Power button to turn on your HP Deskjet 1510.
   
   
2. Prepare a stack of plain white paper and insert them into the Input Tray. Adjust the paper widths accordingly so that they slightly touch the edges of the media stack.
   
   
3. Lower the Cartridge Access Door. The Carriage will start moving towards the proper cartridge access area. Please wait for it to stop before you proceed.
   
   
4. Release the Empty Ink Cartridge by gently pressing down on its top. Draw out the Empty Ink Cartridge to remove it from its slot.
   
   
5. Prepare the New Ink Cartridge for replacement by first removing it from its packaging. Next, take out the orange tab from the New Ink Cartridge to detach the plastic taping. Please make sure to avoid touching the metal contacts and ink nozzles as they are highly sensitive.
   
   
6. Grab the New Ink Cartridge with its Nozzles facing the printer and insert the cartridge directly into the vacant slot. Push the ink tank in until it locks into place.
   
   
7. Repeat the same steps for installing the other Color Cartridge. Remember to install the Black Ink Cartridge on the right slot and the Tri-Color Ink Cartridge on the left.
   
   
8. Close the Cartridge Access Door. The HP Deskjet automatically prints an alignment page.
   
   
9. After the alignment page prints, open the Scanner Lid. Put the alignment page on the scanner glass with the print side facing down.
   
   
10. Lower the Scanner Lid. From the control panel of the HP Deskjet 1510, tap the Start Copy Black button or the Start Copy Color button.
    
    
11. The HP Deskjet will start aligning the ink cartridges and be ready for regular use.
