How to Change your Brother MFC J460DW Ink Cartridges Refill
- Turn the Brother printer MFC J460DW on, then read the LCD screen at the top front of the printer – it will specify which ink colors need replacement. Get the new Brother MFC J460DW ink cartridge that matches the specified color and set it aside for a while.
- Open the printer’s cartridge compartment cover and unlatch the locks that hold the cartridge in place.
- Pull out the empty cartridge from the printer and pull it out of the carriage. Get rid of the empty cartridge immediately before it becomes an environmental hazard.
- Grab your new MFC J460DW ink cartridge and unpack it. Then take away the protective tape covering the contact points.
- Check the colors on the ink cartridge slots and make sure it matches with your cartridge, then slide the cartridge inside the printer using the guiding arrows as a guide.
- Gently push the cartridge until it clicks into place — repeat steps 4 to 6 with the other replacement cartridges.
- Push down the latches to hold the cartridges in place and close the cartridge cover of your Brother MFC-J460DW all-in-one color inkjet printer.
