"If you're maintaining a home or small office, one of the essentials you'd want to see on your desk is a single device that lets you print, copy, scan and fax color or black & white documents. If you have yet to check on the Epson Stylus CX9400Fax, you probably wouldn't think you'd get one straightforward device that allows you to do more jobs without operating multiple machines. On the front of the CX9400Fax is a nice and clear 2.5-inch LCD display you can use for viewing and enhancing the photo you'd like to print, copy or fax without switching on your computer. On the lower left side of the control panel are the PictBridge port and the memory card slots for printing directly to your digital camera or from a wide range of memory cards. Epson likes to boast about the multifunction's high-speed fax feature that sends documents in as fast as 3 seconds per page. The fax feature is easy to operate: key in the number you want to fax, load the document, and press dial. You don't even need to use a different set of Epson ink cartridges unlike other all-in-ones where you're required to have extra ink cartridges for your photo prints. You'd also want to know that the CX9400Fax has a built-in Auto Document Feeder (ADF), making scanning and copying a lot easier while attending to other tasks. Epson claims that the one-touch copy button would speedily give you up to 30 pages per minute. As a standalone copier, this multifunction features fit to page, adjustable copy density, automatic reduction and enlargements ranging from 25% - 400%. As with the other Epson printers, the CX9400Fax comes with four individual ink tanks - letting you control your ink usage and easily replace only the empty tank when needed. The Epson Stylus CX9400Fax ink cartridges use DuraBrite ink technology to resist fading for a couple of decades. The Epson 69 Series ink cartridges that the printer uses are likewise fully compatible with other Stylus printers, as well as Epson WorkForce printers. One drawback of the printer though is the lack of “scan” button on the control panel. That means you'd have to scan manually from the software included in the package. The same goes for the fax feature. Other than that, the Epson Stylus CX9400Fax has more benefits than liabilities - the strongest being the excellent print quality which the Epson printers are popularly known for."
